It's not quite the soft leather that I was expecting. But the buckle seems well-made. It is apparently adjustable beyond just poking extra holes in it! The buckle can be removed, the end trimmed, and the buckle reattached! It also came with some extra screws to do so, along with legible instructions. I've not needed to do that yet. I've worn it a few times, but time will tell how durable it all ends up being.
